It's great to have Bobbi and Jeff live in Cedar City, UT because it's a perfect stop in the long drive to Southern Cal. And it's so fun to visit them! We were able to spend two days with them. The kids had a fun time playing together. Baylor enjoys spending boy time with Austin and Trevor. Jason played basketball with Jeff at 5am both mornings we were there...a little too early for me to wake up. I ran 2.5 miles later in the afternoon with AubriAnna. AubriAnna was on her new motorized scooter. She made sure I kept moving.
We stopped at Bob's Big Boy in Baker, CA for lunch on Tuesday, December 28th. The kids were hoping that the giant thermometer would tell us it was warmer but it only got up to 60 degrees (which is a lot warmer than the 30 degrees and lower we have in Logan).
It was about 4:30 when we pulled into the condo we rented in Newport Coast. We unpacked and settled in then went to dinner at a Sushi place near by. Jason is the only one that eats sushi but Gwen tasted my salmon and decided she likes salmon. Britt enjoyed her beef teryaki and Baylor enjoyed his rice...sometimes it's hard to please my picky eaters.
After dinner we headed to Tammi and Byron's for games and some rowdy unwinding (aka: Nerf gun fights). I still have a red mark under my eye from a direct hit.
It's rainy this morning so we are being lazy (which is what you are supposed to do on vacation, right?) and sleeping in.
I love vacation with my family!
